Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities when it comes to services and programs offered by counties. It also prohibits discrimination in employment matters.

Title II also states that if a public entity has 50 or more employees, it is required to designate at least on responsible employee to coordinate ADA compliance, referred to as the ADA Coordinator. This person is responsible for coordinating Hardin County's efforts to comply with Title II regulations. The ADA Coordinator is also responsible for investigating any compaints of discrimination under Title II of the ADA.
