Responsibilities
 

The Patrol Division is the most visible division in the Sheriff's Office. Patrol is responsible for the initial handling of calls of service and perform most initial investigations, including follow-up investigations, service of civil papers, provide citizen assistance activities.

The Sheriff's Office provides all routine and emergency calls and regularly patrols all areas of the ocunty. The Sheriff and Sheriff's Deputies are the police force for residents of the unincorporated areas of the county.
